Mayor Elpidio R. Rendon personally received from the Philippine Charity Sweepstake Office through its General Manager, Mel Robles, one unit of Patient Transport Vehicle in Manila.
This PTV will be significant in the municipality as it is halved by the Cagayan River, an added adversity in providing response and other ambulance services especially in the western part of the municipality with thirty-one barangays and passing through several municipalities before reaching hospitals.
It can be noted that the Municipal Emergency Response Team, formerly Municipal Action Center has been catering individuals and patients that need to be transported to and from hospitals. For 2023 alone, the MERT has catered more than 7,000 individuals needing transport services for Emergency, Non-Emergency, Dialysis, and Vehicular Accidents.
Supporting this endeavor is the Sangguniang Bayan of Amulung that gave authority for the Mayor to enter into a Deed of Donation with the PCSO.
Accompanying the Mayor were MPDC and Municipal Administrator EnP. Irma Concepcion M. Aguiling, Municipal Accountant Atty. Emalyn S. Gunayon, Municipal Treasurer Salvacion S. Catral, and PESO Manager/LYDO Heribert R. Rendon.
