Barangay
Nabbialan

Based on the data gathered through interviews with senior citizens who have knowledge about the legend of Nabbialan and how it got its name, ‘NABBIALAN’ was named as such because of its location. There’s a creek named Urged that is full of ‘BIALA’ (BIG SHELLS), and the word ‘NAB’ is derived from the abundance of these shells. Farmers and fishermen from surrounding barangays came to the place to collect ‘BIALA.’ Only two old men named FRANCISCO AGURAY and LOUR PENA were residing in the area, which later led to the place being formally named ‘NABBIALAN’ in the year 1943.

NABBIALAN is located in the western part of AMULUNG.
