Before the Japanese regime, this place was full of forest trees. There were also Japanese camps wherein, some people of this place were prisoners and some were bolo men.
One day, a man was cutting a big tree that was full of climbing vines, and suddenly, a Japanese asked him” What is the name of that tree?” and the man answered “CRUZ” which symbolizes boundary. The Japanese and the man cutting the tree miscommunicated with each other. Then the Japanese made it “CRUZDICCION” and the people agreed on improving the name to “JURISDICCION”.
