During the pre-Spanish war up to Word War II, this place was still surrounded on both sides of two river banks and it was the landing place for evacuated peoples.
They come from the lowland community areas, if there is a big flood, they rush to bring out their animals to pasture within the place.
One day, when another group of people were on their way home one of them suddenly shouted “CASIMSIM-CASIMSIM” The name that was mentioned by the man was a kind of grass that commonly fed to their animals. After so many years, this place was developed the inhabitants who live here “CASIMSIM-CASIMSIM to “CASINGSINGAN” Until now the registered name is CASINGSINGAN SUR located in the western part of the municipality of the Amulung Province of Cagayan.
This was the brief history that we encountered among the elders in the past years in this Barangay.
The development condition that the barangay wants to achieve in the future. It contains the aspiration that binds the people together.
The strategy leads towards the achievement of the vision.
