Once upon a time, in a place of dense forest, there lived man whose name was Aggi. He lived by planting vegetables along this sides of forest. During this time of planting, women were seen passing by. These women were going to buy their supplies in a town name Igguig.
On the day while the women passing by Aggi took courage to know their names. She was Rita, Rita Aggi came to know was 25 years old and he was 27. Aggi felt in love to Rita and so he thought of a way to know her better. Once a while the group of Rita were seen passing, he went along with them while they were on their way, he revealed his great loved for her. Because Rita saw his sincerity, she accepted his loved.
After a year, Aggi and Rita got married, they were blessed with five children. They love abundantly and they were very happy, years passed by and they felt that they were old enough to till the land. So their children took over before they died. They had one wish from their children to make a place barrio.
To make honor to the wish of their parents the children had the place become barrio and they named it AGGUIRIT, a combination of their parent’s name AGGI and Rita.
