Abolo

It was on a sunny day when two Spaniards happen to passed by the barrio. They were so thirsty that they look for water to drink. They saw a big tree nearby and eagerly they went under the shade to rest and refresh themselves. It happened that an inhabitant of the barrio passed by them.

They called the man and asked for water but the  man could not understand what they were asking. So, both Spaniards tried their best to let him understand by means of action. Upon knowing what they wanted, he immediately run to to the well nearby and fetch water for them. When the two Spaniards rested and refreshed, they begun to asked question concerning the  barrio in Spanish language. They asked the man what was the name of the barrio, he replied mabolo, that the two meant the tree where they resting. They asked again for the second time, what was the name of the barrio. The man insisted telling them mabolo, so this is barrio mabolo, they murmured. From that time the barrio called mabolo. For so many years had gone the world Mabolo is somewhat long and hard to pronouns. They shortened it into abolo that until now was still called Abolo.

This is what Abolo got its name.

Note: Mabolo is a big tree with oblong leaves. Its  fruit are hairy and brow. The fresh is soft and white. With particular order.

Abolo is situated at approximately 17.8230, 121.7143, in the island of Luzon. Elevation at these coordinates is estimated at 18.1 meters or 59.4 feet above mean sea level.
The largest land usage in Abolo belongs to agricultural areas with 57% land distribution followed by residential areas with 28% land distribution. 6% land distribution goes to commercial areas while the remaining 9% land distribution belongs to road infrastructures.
