Hon. Ismael P. Zalun, a first-time Sanguniang Bayan Member, is a dedicated public servant with a strong commitment to serving his community. Son of Mr. Pedro Zalun and Mrs. Virginia Dumlao, he is also a loving father to four children and a proud resident of Anquiray, Amulung. Ismael’s journey into politics has been marked by a sincere desire to contribute positively to the welfare of his fellow residents, drawing from his extensive professional background and personal values.

Prior to his commitment at the Legislative Department, he is a retired Police Officer assigned to the different stations of Cagayan Valley and Isabela. He received various awards and certificates. One of his accomplishments is to become a recipient of Medalya ng Kadakilaan, Medalya ng Papuri (15), Medalya ng Kasanayan(20), Medalya ng Manliligalig (1), and a long service medals. Having retired from a distinguished 30 years and 7 months career in law enforcement (PNP), Hon. Ismael pursued a new path in public service, successfully transitioning to the legislative department as a testament to his desire to effect change in his community. His academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from Cagayan Colleges Tuguegrao City(CCT) year 2005-2009, where he honed his skills and knowledge, preparing him for the challenges of both Law Enforcement (PNP) and Governance.
