The first inhabitants that arrived in this place were the Aetas. They named this place Dadda, from the word Dap-Dap. Dad-Dap is a kind of tree that grows abundantly in this place -Ilocanos called it ‘bagbag‘. Although Dap- Dap is not the registered name of this Barangay it is the popular name to the people living in this barangay. But when the Spaniards came to this barangay they call it Dadda to shorten the word Dap-Dap. So Dadda is now the registered name of the barangay.
