PROLOGUE

Barangay Calamagui is a barangay along the National High-way about 1 kilometer north of Amulung Poblacion Proper. Its boundary with barangay población has been fixed with Kagawad Edwardo Madrid of barangay población and at the northernmost boundary with barangay baculud is in the baculud bridge.

During the early days of barangay calamagui when the ilocanos were predominant. It was referred to us Salamague. This saw the beginning of influx of more residence in the bario. Notable among them as first emigrant are the  CATUIRAN’s.

In constructing this short barangay history, we had interviewed some of the oldest living residents in the barrio regarding matters about its early history and we had found out the following factor.

1. Why should the boundary of barangay CALAMAGUI and barangay POBLACION be fixed with the fence of the MADRID’s?

Ans: because of the other side of the fence was once the house of MR. and MRS JARAMILL KOGA first settle of CALAMAGUI

2. Why should Barangay CALAMAGUI be of rightful jurisdiction to SITO CAMANGAN?
